The Reeds - an idyllic mixed fishery.

great fishing within sight of your car

This water is situated directly in front of the main car park and there are 17 pegs around its 1.5 acre size. The roadside bank is mainly reed lined, interspersed with the occasional overhanging bush, whilst the other swims all have lily pads within easy reach.

The average depth being 5ft, helps to make this venue a pleasure anglers delight. There is a large stock of Bream and Tench, which are happy to feed at quite close quarters, making float tackle - be it the waggler or the pole, all that is really required.

The weights of the main species average 4lb, but the Tench have been landed in excess of 8lb. There are also stocks of Roach, Rudd, and Perch, with a few Carp, and some Pike present up to low doubles, helping to maintain a balanced and healthy fishery.
